1970’s Things In Life Riddim brings together a classic Lloyd Daley production for Matador, Mistic and Nuclear, with the original Dennis Brown title cut alongside The Now Generation’s Life Version and later revivals from Courtney Melody, Junior Kelly, Triston Palmer and Norris Man, and Turbulence. The cut first appeared on the Matador side in 1970, while I-Roy’s Problems Of Life landed on Mistic in 1971, and the late-’90s Nuclear recordings gave the rhythm a fresh update. Lloyd Daley, better known as Matador, was a key roots-era producer, and this set underlines how well his work carried across generations.
