The Assignment Riddim – Starzplus Production

The Assignment Riddim came out in 2022 from Starzplus Production, a Montego Bay-based indie label headed by Gregory “Fox” Lindo, and it was released on June 24 with a 10-track dancehall set that leans into an authentic, mid-tempo feel. Chronic Law’s Live Large opens the project with one of the stronger cuts, while Jahvillani, Shane O, Ikaya, Lusion, Prohgres, Tazar, Ryme Minista and Teebone all bring different voices to the same rhythm. The lineup balances hard-edged deejay selections with smoother vocals, and the riddim’s mix ties everything together without crowding out the individual songs. Starzplus had already built a name in dancehall before this release, and The Assignment keeps that steady, artist-first approach in focus.
