A sparse, straight-ahead dancehall cut with a lean three-song line-up, Teamwork Riddim keeps the focus tight: 45’s “Deny Your Love, ” Kruze 45’s “Ride A Mi Life, ” and Dutty B’s “Badly” all sit on the same bare-bones backbone, so there’s no wasted motion anywhere. Nuh Response Production leaves the rhythm uncluttered, which gives the voices room to carry the attitude, and that’s part of the appeal here. It also feels like an early marker for a producer name that would turn up again later with projects like TP, Full Of Words, Cashmere, and Luxe, where the same instinct for compact juggling and direct-to-the-point dancehall comes through. In the Nuh Response catalogue, Teamwork is one of the more stripped-down entries, all muscle and no excess.
