Swanky Riddim (2018) – Rudeboyoriginal

Swanky cuts lean and tidy, with Rudeboyoriginal setting up a brisk dancehall framework that leaves plenty of room for the hooks to do the heavy lifting. Skillful’s “Don’t Stop The Music” comes off as the sharper of the two cuts, pushing a straight-to-the-point chant over the rhythm’s clipped bounce, while Voicemail’s title track with Doctor Bird leans more playful and melodic, giving the riddim a bit more swing. Released in July 2018 as a two-song project, it feels like one of those compact juggling drops that kept the dancehall pipeline moving without trying to overstate itself. The whole thing is short, focused, and very much in that late-2010s mode where a producer could drop a quick riddim and still leave selectors with something usable.
