Guardian Riddim – Anson Productions

Guardian Riddim came out in 2018 from Anson Productions, a dancehall project voiced by Nailah Blackman, Ding Dong, Preedy, and Isaac Blackman. The best-known cuts here are Birthday Song and Blessings, and the lineup keeps the focus on catchy, melodic vocals rather than a crowded tracklist. It was issued as a two-song release, which gives the riddim a tighter, more song-driven feel than a lot of larger juggling sets. Anson Productions also works in that Trinidad-and-Tobago crossover space where dancehall and soca influences often meet, and Nailah Blackman’s presence gives the project an extra island-pop pull.
