Suntan Rave Riddim – Smashing Records

Suntan Rave Riddim comes in bright and breezy, but there’s enough muscle under it to keep the floor moving, with that glossy soca bounce and a carnival-ready pulse that feels aimed squarely at the fetes. Smashing Records lines up ten cuts here, and the set keeps a nice balance between cheeky party talk and the more playful lover’s angle: Innovata’s “Love Yuh, ” Pedro Don’s “Jesus Piece, ” and Joraldo’s “Know Yuh Fren Dem” carry the conversational side, while Aeriel Casanova and Lenz lean into the crowd-pleasing chant-and-answer energy. Nykka and Don Frisco’s “Gal Yuh Bad Longtime” gives the riddim one of its sharpest hooks, and Tobby’s “Suh Di Liquor Tan” pushes the party mood even further.
