STREET PARTY RIDDIM produced by LENKEY RECORDS / NINE MIND ENTERTAINMENT 2019
Street Party Overview
The Street Party Riddim brought a wave of island energy to Carnival in 2019. This soca release mixed traditional Caribbean sounds with new ideas, making it perfect for both parades and parties. The parade flow of this riddim blended well with other genres, such as dancehall and pop, by using catchy hooks and energetic beats that everyone could enjoy. This made the music feel fresh while still keeping the spirit of soca alive. Salty’s track, Done Bless, stood out for its lively lyrics and powerful delivery. Salty is known for his high-energy performances, and this song added excitement to the riddim. Orlando Octave, with his song Mr. Mouse, brought his smooth voice and signature style. Orlando Octave is also known for his hit single “Single,” which reached audiences beyond Trinidad and Tobago. Jadel’s Closer offered a melodic touch, showing her talent for blending sweet vocals with dance rhythms. Marzville, who is popular for his party anthems, contributed Give Me A Whine, adding even more fun to the mix. Each artist played an important role, bringing their own flavor to the project. Nine Mind and Lenkey Records arranged and produced the Street Party Riddim. Lenkey Records, led by producer Steven “Lenky” Marsden, is famous for creating the Diwali Riddim, one of dancehall’s most influential beats. Their experience helped shape the sound and energy of this release.
