All Connect’s 2013 Str8 Jean Riddim is a lean little dancehall set, just three cuts deep, and that economy gives it a sharp, street-level focus. Shallack’s “Tall Up Tall” and Benjahmin’s “Paper Chase” lean into the kind of quick-tongued hustle talk that suits the title, while Zamunda’s “Str8 Jeans” feels like the track that locks the whole thing together, all attitude and clean-forward momentum. There’s no extra fat here, just a tight run of voices riding the same spare groove, which is probably why the whole thing feels more like a snapshot than a compilation. A small, early-2010s yard session, but a memorable one.
