STR8 JEAN RIDDIM produced by ALL CONNECT 2013
Str8 Jean Overview
In 2013, the Str8 Jean Riddim was born in the heart of Jamaica’s dancehall scene. The project started in a small but energetic studio, where the producer known as ALL CONNECT shaped the sound. ALL CONNECT had already made a name in the industry with a string of dancehall productions and was known for pushing boundaries. Working under his own label, he gathered a team of musicians to craft a riddim that captured the rebellious energy of the time. The riddim’s creation was a careful process. Studio engineers and musicians worked late into the night, layering drum patterns and basslines that felt both new and true to dancehall roots. ALL CONNECT’s vision was to deliver music that would light up parties and speak to the youth. When the riddim was ready, three artists took center stage. Shallack recorded “Tall Up Tall,” bringing sharp lyrics and commanding delivery. Benjahmin added his voice with “Paper Chase,” showing his skill for catchy hooks. Zamunda, known for his hit “Jah Love Surround Me,” contributed “Str8 Jeans.” His smooth vocals and conscious lyrics gave the riddim another dimension. Each artist brought something unique, and together they made the Str8 Jean Riddim stand out. The songs quickly became favorites at street dances and parties. The riddim’s energy and attitude made it a symbol of 2013’s dancehall spirit. Today, Str8 Jean Riddim still reminds fans of a year when dancehall was bold and full of fire.
