Pot Of Gold Productions kept this one trim and pointed in 2004, dropping Sting Riddim as a four-track reggae set rather than a sprawling juggling. Richie Stephens and Cocoa Tea give it the clearest pull on “Where Is The Love, ” while Kirk Davis’ “Let Jah Love Reign” and Y. C. R. ’s title cut keep the mood focused on conscious themes. Pot Of Gold had a sharp ear for clean, no-frills rhythm work, and here the sequencing leaves the version last, so the vocals do the talking before the instrumental gets its turn. That ordering tells you the intent straight away: songs first, rhythm second, with just enough space to let the riddim breathe at the end.
