Kings of Kings usually lean hard into contemporary dancehall pressure, but Solidarity Riddim keeps things in a more rootsy reggae pocket, with a warm, rolling groove that leaves room for the voices to carry the message. Cecile’s “Boops” and Sizzla’s “Put It Away” give the set its sharpest edge, while Cutty Corn flips the theme with “No Boops” and Tony Curtis teaming with Jigsy King adds a lighter, more playful turn. The whole thing feels less like a showcase for flash and more like a conscious one-riddim session built around attitude and restraint, with each cut riding the same sturdy backdrop a little differently. By the time Red Roze’s “Yardie” and the Tony Curtis/Jigsy King combination close it out, the riddim’s easy sway and singalong pull have done most of the talking.
