2016 reggae brought Little Thunder Music’s Scroogie Tropics Riddim, a seven-track set featuring Lukie D’s Body Guard, Sizzla’s One Nation, Lutan Fyah’s Better Life and Turbulence’s Waiting For You alongside Kaisha Lee and Kayla Allen. The project leans on a rootsy, midtempo groove and keeps the lineup tight, with Little Thunder Music closing it out on the instrumental title cut. It also marked Kayla Allen’s first recorded release, while the mix of established voices and newer names gives the riddim a balanced feel.
