The Scarborough Riddim made its debut in 2022, quickly becoming a favorite on the soca scene. This lively soca drop was crafted by CHINESE LAUNDRY MUSIC, a well-known producer and label in Trinidad and Tobago’s music industry. CHINESE LAUNDRY MUSIC has a long history of delivering hits for Carnival, with a reputation for blending smooth grooves and energetic rhythms that keep crowds moving. The Scarborough Riddim was built for Carnival fetes and the vibrant island streets. It features a strong lineup of soca stars. Shurwayne Winchester, known for his 2004 Road March-winning hit “The Band Coming,” brings his experience and powerful vocals to the track “To Be Gonian.” Kernal Roberts, who has written and produced several Road March and Soca Monarch winners, adds his signature style to “Outside Nice.” Sekon Sta, another Carnival favorite, delivers high energy on “One Jam.” The riddim also showcases the talents of Zan and Adana Roberts, who team up for the anthem “We Reach.” Chingee rounds out the lineup with “Come Nah,” adding his own flair to the mix.
