Sarangetti Riddim arrived in 2022 as a three-song dancehall project from Dancehall Mecca, with Maj Kiambi, Mc Tafahri and Black Heart Ke each taking a turn over the same cut. The release keeps things tight and regional, and its standout trait is the all-Kenyan lineup and Swahili-infused lyrical angle, which gives the riddim a distinct identity right away. Maj Kiambi’s Naenda, Mc Tafahri’s Turn It Up and Black Heart Ke’s Believe You make for a compact set, and the short format leaves no filler. Dancehall Mecca’s name fits the project well, since the production leans into a grassroots dancehall feel while giving each artist enough space to bring their own flavor.
