RUB A DUB RIDDIM produced by BLACK FOUNDATION 2013
Rub A Dub Overview
The foundation rhythm of this 2013 project was born in a lively studio session. Musicians and engineers worked closely together, guided by the studio hand’s vision for a conscious, roots-inspired sound. The creative direction was clear: the team wanted a rhythm that felt both classic and fresh, with a strong message of unity. At the center of the project was producer BLACK FOUNDATION. Known for his work in the reggae scene, BLACK FOUNDATION has built a reputation for uplifting, message-driven productions. He leads the Black Foundation label, which has released several roots and culture projects, gaining respect among reggae fans worldwide. Each artist brought their own style to the riddim. Turbulence, famous for his hit “Notorious,” delivered “Love You Forever” with heartfelt emotion. His powerful voice and conscious lyrics fit perfectly over the steady foundation rhythm. Thriller U, a veteran singer known for his smooth vocals, offered “Cut It Out.” He has been celebrated in reggae and lovers rock since the 1980s, with several charting songs in Jamaica and the UK. Vivian Jones, another respected roots artist, contributed “Chant Rastafari.” Jones is known for his deep spiritual messages and has released over 15 albums during his career. Marlon Asher, who gained international fame with “Ganja Farmer,” performed “Weeping & Mourning.” His song brought a soulful touch to the project. Bredda Marcus rounded out the main lineup with “No One Can Stop Me,” adding strength and confidence to the collection. Together, these artists captured the spirit of 2013 roots reggae, making the foundation rhythm a standout release for conscious music lovers.
