RISING POINT RIDDIM produced by EXTENDED PLAY RECORDS / DON’T SNOOZE PRODUCTIONS 2021
Rising Point Overview
The Rising Point Riddim, released in 2021, offered a strong roots reggae base for both singers and deejays. The riddim’s musical backdrop featured steady drum patterns, warm basslines, and smooth guitar licks, giving each artist room to deliver their message. This foundation helped keep the authentic reggae sound alive during a year when the genre continued to evolve. Busy Signal, known for his international hit "Stay So," contributed the song "Case" to this project. His performance brought energy and clarity, showing why he remains a respected name in dancehall and reggae circles. Classical Eska, working with Extended Play Records, delivered "Tears of Joy," a track that highlighted the emotional side of the riddim. Extended Play Records, together with Don't Snooze Productions, has a reputation for supporting modern reggae artists and bringing fresh riddims to the scene. Other notable artists on the project included Don Tippa with "Today," Gyptian with "Dry Your Tears," and Jah Cure with "No Perfect Love." Gyptian is widely recognized for his hit single "Hold You," which charted internationally and brought him global attention. Jah Cure, with his smooth vocals, added depth to the riddim with his heartfelt song. Additional tracks like "Your Mines" by JDon Heights and Don't Snooze Productions, "Toxic Love" by Press Kay, "Perpetual Love" by Roxxie, "Nah Sell Mi Soul" by Sizzla, and "Serious Times" by Teejay rounded out the release. Each artist brought their own style, but all were anchored by the riddim’s romantic and rootsy sound. The Rising Point Riddim helped keep reggae’s message strong through 2021.
