Produced by Jazzwad and Jamdown in 1999, Riot Riddim is a sharp dancehall juggling built around a tight, driving cut and a strong lineup that includes Bounty Killer, Capleton, Sizzla, Beenie Man, Sean Paul, and Major Christie. Bounty Killer turns up twice with Reggae Starz and Divide and Rule, while Sizzla’s Anytime Now and Sean Paul’s She Want It help give the project extra pull. Capleton’s Bun Dung Dreadie is another highlight, and the set also closes with Jazzwad’s own version. Jazzwad was already making a name around this period for clean, heavy riddim work, and Riot fits that late-90s Kingston energy well.
