Rifle Rave Riddim – Sub Rec/Trini Baby

Released in 2020, Rifle Rave Riddim comes from Sub Rec and Trini Baby and leans into a Trinidad dancehall set with six cuts and a sharp, militant edge. The lineup brings together Zerimar on Arima, Ironik aka Poizon on Money My Bestie, Lincoln on Rifle Rave, Riima Dan on Cvh Man, KG and Rassii on No White Flag, and Keem and Benefitz on Gringo, with the title track giving the project its name. Trini Baby’s instrumental first surfaced in late 2019 before the full riddim set arrived the following year, and the release carries that stripped-back, hard-hitting feel that made it work well for the Trini dancehall lane.
