Already in the middle of the 2019 batch, Ghetto Youth Riddim lands as the first drop in Numa Crew Recordings’ Riddim Batch catalogue, with Lapo and T. Kay reworking two old-school Jamaican touchstones into a hard, modern stepper that still nods to roots and rub-a-dub history. The strongest cut in the set is probably Executer, where Big Chain locks in with Killa P and IRAH on a gunman tune that keeps a positive edge, while XL Mad’s Fire Inna Di Danz pushes the energy toward the dance with a sharper, future-facing bounce and Mannaro Man’s Glimmity Glammity leans deeper into ragga attitude. Numa Crew handle the title instrumental themselves, and the whole project stays tight at four tracks, with each version underlining a different side of the riddim.
