Republic Riddim – Fox Fuse

Fox Fuse usually moves plenty of crowd-pleasing dancehall and Caribbean crossover material, but Republic Riddim keeps it stripped back to a tight two-song juggling, which makes the rhythm itself do the talking. Buffy’s “Hard 4 You” and Juelio’s “Stuck On You” both run just over three minutes, and that compact setup leaves room for the production to lean on a clean, mid-tempo groove with a firm bassline and enough space for the vocals to sit right up front. Buffy sounds sharp and direct on the harder edge of the pair, while Juelio takes the smoother route without softening the riddim’s pull. Released in 2018 and credited to Fox Fuse, the project was issued as a two-track set under the Republic Riddim name, with both cuts landing on the same April 20, 2018 single.
