RED BULL RIDDIM produced by PRECISION PRODUCTIONS 2012
Red Bull Overview
The Red Bull label brought a powerful energy to the soca scene in 2012 with its fete rhythm. As the music played, masqueraders filled the streets, waving flags and dancing to the infectious beats. This rhythm became a big part of Carnival that year, with standout tracks and top artists leading the way. Bunji Garlin, known for his rapid-fire lyrics and commanding stage presence, delivered “Bam Bam.” He is already famous for his hit “Differentology,” which won the 2013 Soul Train Award for Best International Performance, showing his influence in soca music. Patrice Roberts and Swappi teamed up for the lively track “Gih Me.” Patrice Roberts is widely known for her work with Machel Montano on “Band of the Year,” and Swappi is recognized for his energetic performances. Destra Garcia brought her signature style with “Attitude.” She is celebrated for her song “Lucy,” which remains a Carnival favorite. Tian Winter’s “Pressure Waist” added a smooth, melodic touch, while M1’s “Free Up” kept the party spirit alive. Each artist brought their own flavor, making the rhythm unforgettable. Other tracks like Nebula868’s “Work” and Orlando Octave and Kerry John’s “Go Down” completed the lineup, each adding their own twist. The producer behind it all, PRECISION PRODUCTIONS, is known for shaping the sound of modern soca. Based in Trinidad and Tobago, they have worked on many major hits and helped launch the careers of several soca stars. Their attention to detail and high-quality production made this fete rhythm a classic.
