Back in 2021, when a lot of dancehall riddims were chasing raw, street-level energy, Rayno Riddim came in with that compact, no-frills A-Akeem876 Records touch: 12 cuts, eight artists, and a clean/raw split on several tunes. Halah Boss’ “Drink an Smoke” and Infa di Bad Artist’s “Grabba Hot” set the tone early, both riding the rhythm with that smoky, bashment-heavy swagger, while QQ’s “Money Inna Pocket” gives the project a more money-forward anthem feel. Voicemail’s “Do It Right Now” adds another familiar voice to the lineup, and the instrumental at the end leaves the pattern locked in without overcomplicating it. It landed in mid-December 2021, which feels about right for a release this focused and built for selector rotation.
