Released in 2015, Raindrops Riddim from TMG Records is a Zimdancehall dancehall project with 11 cuts and a strong Zimbabwean cast. The lineup includes Diana Samkange with Tariro, Dobba Don with Ichasvika Nguva, Ras Caleb with Im Not A Player, Nutty O with Call On Jah, Guspy Warrior with The World Goes On, and Lesco with Jah Jah Guide. The riddim was produced by Mr. Noxa at TMG Rekodz in Zimbabwe, and the overall feel leans conscious and mellow rather than aggressive, with Ras Caleb’s song and Dobba Don’s contribution among the most notable tracks. It also captures an early stretch in the rise of younger Zimdancehall voices like Nutty O alongside more established names in the local scene.
