Rada Riddim – Mixmaster Chao

Rada Riddim, released in 2022 and produced by Mixmaster Chao, pulls together six reggae cuts from ZJ Mhat, Black Heart Ke, Nyawíra, Pispa di Man, Dadi adadis, and Daudi on a short, tightly focused project. The set includes Reggae Rumba, Mambo Bado, Beautiful Night, Murembe, Saa za Sherehe, and Wyne, with each vocal sitting on the same 2: 23 instrumental frame, which gives the riddim a compact, uniform feel. Mixmaster Chao had already been building a steady run of releases around that period, and this EP fits neatly into that output with a lineup that mixes melodic singers and more straightforward dancehall voices.
