A brisk little 1990 time capsule, this one catches Shocking Vibes in that sharp, street-level dancehall mode, with the riddim sitting behind Beenie Man’s “Success” and Little Lenny’s double shot in a way that feels neatly tied to the era’s radio-and-sound-system pulse. Patrick Roberts’ camp had a knack for pairing a tough digital swing with singers who could sweeten it up, and Richie Stephens’ “Lady Love” and Singing Melody’s “Something Special” sit right in that pocket, softening the edge without losing the riddim’s snap.
