Capleton’s “Head Above The Water” is the pull here, and it sets the tone for a Prophet Riddim that leans into serious roots pressure rather than flashy tricks. DownSound keep the instrumental grounded and straight-ahead, with Jimmy Riley’s “What Did They See In You” and Harry Toddler’s “Pray Fi Dem” giving the rhythm two very different shades: veteran crooner weight on one side, harder dancehall phrasing on the other. There’s a neat continuity with DownSound’s earlier work too; this sits comfortably beside the label’s run of early-2000s and late-2000s reggae projects that favored strong voices over overcooked arrangements.
