Pression Riddim comes in with a taut, gritty dancehall pulse, the kind of rhythm that feels built for small-room sound system pressure rather than glossy crossover shine. Don Shorty keeps the cast compact at five cuts, and that balance matters: Jah Defender’s “Madinina” and Mad General’s “Reach Me” lean into the tougher yard-style edge, while Matra K and R-Ik push the set toward chant-heavy, straight-ahead fire. Soukeyna’s “La Minm’” brings a sharper melodic contrast, but the riddim’s centre of gravity stays in the harder, more direct lane throughout. With no dead weight in the sequence, the last word belongs to Soukeyna, whose cut gives the project its most distinctive finish.
