The journey of the island party cut began in the studio, with DJ Jeanie at the controls. Known for her sharp ear and energetic mixes, DJ Jeanie has built a name in the soca world, especially after her viral remix of "Soca Mode" in 2023. She worked closely with the groove builder, layering drums and synths to create a riddim that moves bodies and lifts spirits. As the riddim took shape, DJ Jeanie reached out to some of the scene’s most exciting voices. Added Rankin brought his song "Workout Plan," known for its playful lyrics and catchy hooks. Chow Minister, already famous for his carnival hit "No Borrow Clothes," added his own flavor, delivering a track that captures the fun and freedom of the season. DJ Jeanie herself stepped up with "Fete Everyday," a celebration of nonstop dancing and joy. Problem Child, whose song "Fair Exchange" reached the finals of the International Soca Monarch in 2018, rounded out the lineup with his unmistakable energy.
