Praise Ye Jah Riddim – Aquarius Productions

Produced by Aquarius Productions in 1998, Praise Ye Jah Riddim is a compact reggae set with just three cuts: Don Yute’s Judgement Day, Michelle Gordon’s Four Page Letter, and Terry Ganzie’s Yad Out, plus the version. The rhythm is most often linked to the conscious roots side of the late ’90s, and Terry Ganzie and Don Yute give it the strongest vocal presence here. Aquarius kept the lineup lean, which gives the release a tight, straightforward feel and leaves plenty of room for the title rhythm itself to carry the project.
