Lee Scratch Perry produced Poppy Show Riddim for Unknown Label in 1969, and this tight three-track set pairs Andy Capp’s Poppy Show with The Upsetters’ Granny Show Part 1 and Part 2. Andy Capp, better known as Lynford Anderson, was already an established Jamaican vocalist and engineer by then, which helps explain the cut’s rough-edged, studio-bred feel.
