Greenz Connection’s Pop Off Riddim leans hard into that jab-jab season energy, with the title itself pointing you straight toward the carnival dirtiness at the core of it. The 2017 soca set pulls together Bramma, Jab King, Jamesy P, Slida, Zappa and Big Dawg over a brisk, party-ready groove, and Bramma’s “Welcome to Jab” feels like the clearest fit for the producer’s rough-edged, streetwise swing. There’s a nice charge in the way the whole thing keeps circling around drinks, fire, and jab talk without losing its bounce, which is exactly the kind of momentum soca heads chase when the road vibe kicks in. Short and punchy, too.
