Patty Shack Overview
In 2014, the sound of the Carnival season was driven by a powerful truck anthem base. This deep, rolling rhythm was the heartbeat of the roads, keeping crowds moving from sunrise to sunset. The energy of the truck anthem base perfectly matched the non-stop pace of the fetes and parades, making it a defining sound of the year. Behind this infectious riddim was SLAUGHTER ARTS MEDIA, a production house known for its creative approach in the soca world. SLAUGHTER ARTS MEDIA had already built a name with several well-received projects before 2014, helping to shape the modern soca sound. Their work is recognized for blending traditional Caribbean melodies with fresh, energetic beats. The Patty Shack Riddim brought together a talented group of artists, each adding their own flavor. D'sean delivered “Sit Dong,” a track that quickly became a crowd favorite for its catchy hook and danceable groove. Kira’s “Get Silly” showed her playful style, building on her reputation for lively performances. Mr P6 contributed “Scandal,” adding a bold tone to the riddim and continuing his run of popular releases in the soca scene. Soca Bachelor teamed up with Fucha Kid, bringing extra energy to the project. Together, these artists and producers made the Patty Shack Riddim a memorable part of 2014’s Carnival, keeping the party alive and the streets full of music.
