Overground Riddim – Mighty Cez Music

Anthony B gives Overground Riddim its sharpest pull with “Cup Load, ” and that opening sets the tone for a five-cut 2016 juggling that stays firmly in reggae territory while keeping the energy up. Gappy Ranks follows with “One Day, ” a tune that adds a cleaner, more reflective lift, while Attila’s title track keeps the project rooted in the street-level grit you’d expect from the name. Lasai’s “Love Is The Solution” nudges things toward upliftment, and I-Noah’s “Never Be The Way” rounds out the set with a more measured touch. Mighty Cez Music keeps the production tight and unflashy, letting the voices carry the weight, but it’s Anthony B’s “Cup Load” that leaves the strongest mark here.
