Onward Riddim (2005) – Rockstar Entertainment

2005 was a fertile stretch for rootsy reggae riddims, and Onward fits right into that moment with a compact four-track pull that keeps the focus on message and melody. Capleton’s “Take Them Away” has that urgent fire-breathing energy he was carrying hard in the mid-2000s, while Richie Spice and Capleton linking on “Dem Gone” gives the set a sharper edge, with Spice’s smooth uplift meeting Capleton’s rougher attack. Rockstar Entertainment keep the production lean and direct, and Zebulan’s “Give Praises” rounds it out on a more devotional note.
