One Eight Riddim – Greenz Connection

Greenz Connection keeps this one light on its feet, with a bright soca pulse and just two cuts to it: Daddy Ghost’s “Ease Up” and Slida’s “Dirty. ” That tight format gives the riddim a quick, no-fuss shape, more like a compact 45 session than a sprawling compilation, and the sequencing leaves the two voices to do the talking over the same backing. “Ease Up” opens with a smoother, laid-back swing, while “Dirty” leans a little sharper and more playful against the rhythm. One Eight Riddim came out in 2021 and sits alongside Greenz Connection’s other same-year soca work, including D Protest Riddim.
