Big Link Productions wasn’t chasing the huge-name, all-star dancehall formula here; On Target Riddim keeps it more grassroots, with a compact ten-cut set that leans on younger voices and a few familiar names rather than a stacked headline lineup. The title cut from Di Wizard sets the tone, while Munga’s “Hot Foot” and Nesbeth’s “Last Nite” give the riddim some real pull, especially if you like that raw, mid-2010s street-dancehall feel. There’s a nice push-pull across the board too, from ExTension’s “Life Ruff” to Gary Linen’s “Money” and Jah Malo’s “Change Girl, ” so it never settles into one mood for too long. Released in 2015, it lands right in that era when producers were still packing riddims with enough variety to work in the dance without losing the thread.
