On Bond Street Riddim pulls together a small but historical set from the Dutchess and Peckings camp, with Duke Reid and RPM Inc. credited on the 1969 production. The selection includes Ernest Ranglin and Tommy McCook with The Supersonics on Ranglin On Bond Street, alongside Bitty McLean’s later Tell Me cut, which links the riddim’s vintage foundation to a newer vocal interpretation. The music comes out of the Treasure Isle/Bond Street tradition in Kingston, where Reid’s label family helped shape the rocksteady sound, and the presence of The Supersonics keeps the horn-led, studio-band feel front and center.
