NORTHERN LIGHTS RIDDIM produced by STAINLESS RECORDS 2012
Northern Lights Overview
In 2012, the Northern Lights Riddim showed how reggae could mix culture and message in one recording. The project came together under the careful guidance of STAINLESS RECORDS, a label known for blending modern sounds with roots reggae. STAINLESS RECORDS, led by producer Rohan "Snowcone" Fuller, has played a part in shaping dancehall and reggae for years. One of their best-known releases is the hit riddim "Applause," which brought international attention to the label. The Northern Lights Riddim stands out for its smooth rhythm and deep bass, giving each artist space to shine. O.K brings energy with "Super Lotto," while Icecold’s "Welcome To Ja" shares a sense of home and pride. Medena adds confidence with "Man A Star." These tracks show how artists can use reggae to tell their own stories. Alaine, who is known for her hit single "No Ordinary Love," adds a soulful touch with "Love U 2 Much." Chi Ching Ching, famous for his dance anthems and collaborations with Sean Paul, brings fun and swagger on "Im A Superstar." Juss Ice sets a romantic mood with "Tonight." The instrumental "Northern Lights Riddim" lets the music speak for itself. Gyptian, who reached global fame with "Hold Yuh," appears with two tracks: "Search To Find" and "U Diss Me." Demarco and Quick Cook close things out with "Over Dweet," adding a party vibe. The recording process brought together different voices and styles, proving reggae’s strength and unity in 2012.
