This one feels a little leaner and rougher than the bigger-press dancehall packages of the era, with just seven cuts and a single version riding underneath the voices. Bounty Killer’s “Killa Na Trace” is the obvious anchor, but the set gets some extra snap from Costo’s “Nine” and Seeova’s “Sugarcane, ” while G and Spawner keep the energy moving on “What Does It Take” and Joe Seeova and Spawner’s “Taking Over. ” The production doesn’t overcomplicate matters; it stays taut and street-ready, letting the artists work over a compact rhythm instead of crowding the space. Released in 2007, the tracklist closes with the instrumental “Version, ” which keeps the whole thing locked to a straightforward seven-track run.
