Natural Riddim Vol 2 (2016) – Warner Group Music

2016 was a busy year for dancehall riddims, and Natural Riddim Vol. 2 lands right in that moment with a compact five-track set that leans more toward crossover swagger than straight-up yard-style gunman energy. The production has a breezy, midtempo pulse with enough low-end weight to keep it rooted in dancehall, while the vocals push it toward a more Euro-club edge, especially on Lukie D’s “Up In The Club, ” Eric Alain Wilson’s “Dieser Sound, ” and Msoke’s “We Rough. ” Raggabund’s “Bomba Anatómica” adds a sharper, more playful kick, but the real signpost here is the closing “Natural Instrumental” with Culcha Candela and Sir Samuel, which leaves the riddim exposed and lets the arrangement speak for itself.
