MOVING AWAY RIDDIM produced by BOBBY DIGITAL 1992
Moving Away Overview
The Moving Away roots riddim brings together some of reggae’s respected voices. Admiral Tibet, known for his conscious lyrics, steps up with “Nuthin Nah Run.” Half Pint, a reggae legend famous for his hit “I Am Not A Substitute Lover,” adds his unique sound. Sanchez, who is well-loved for his smooth singing style and many charting songs, delivers “Dont Worry.” Al Campbell, with decades in reggae and roots music, offers “Dress Back.” Glen Rycks joins with “Sitting In The Back Seat,” adding his soulful touch. The riddim is built on the foundation of classic reggae from 1992. It links today’s artists with the timeless flow and deep bass lines that made roots reggae so powerful. Each artist brings their own energy, but the riddim keeps everything connected. At the heart of this project is the producer BOBBY DIGITAL. He is known for his work with Digital B Records, one of Jamaica’s influential labels. BOBBY DIGITAL played a key role in the digital reggae movement of the late 1980s and 1990s. His productions have shaped the sound of modern reggae and dancehall, working with many top artists. With Moving Away riddim, he makes sure the music stays true to the roots, while still sounding fresh for today’s listeners. The roots riddim still echoes the spirit of 1992. It brings together big voices and classic sounds, showing how reggae’s foundation can inspire new songs and connect generations.
