Morning Blues comes in tight and unhurried, a three-cut dancehall set from Ragz To Richez Production that keeps the focus on mood rather than volume. Kasanova’s “My Control” and Sno’s “Wake” sit beside Macka Diamond’s “Can You, ” and the whole thing leans into a clean, straight-ahead bashment pulse instead of loading up on extra voices. Ragz To Richez, the imprint behind the 2017 cut, was already being led by the young Jamaican producer Halie, who was building out her name in the dancehall space around that period. Macka Diamond gives the riddim its sharpest moment here, her track landing with the kind of sly authority that cuts through the set and leaves the strongest aftertaste.
