Modern Riddim – Kingsound Production

From the 2018 dancehall run came Modern Riddim out of Kingsound Production, a compact juggling with just five cuts and a tight little cast that keeps the focus on the riddim itself. Silectah Joseph’s “Gratefull” and El Vynom’s “Money Mi Love” sit nicely against the darker push of F Phillips’ “Hot This Year” and Spang To Di G’s “Bus Mi Gun, ” with that last tune leaning into the rawer edge of the set. Kingsound keeps the instrumental in the sequence too, so you get the bare framework after the voices, almost like a quick rewind at the end.
