The rhythm is also known as Ain’t Too Proud To Beg Riddim, and Courtney Melody’s title cut later became one of his best-known dancehall links. Robert Ffrench’s France label period was an important step in his run as both singer and producer, and this release captures that late-’80s crossover sound with a clean, hooky feel.
