MISS ANGELA RIDDIM produced by I & I FOUNDATION RECORDS 1998
Miss Angela Overview
In 1998, a standout dancehall riddim appeared from Jamaica and quickly made its mark in the dancehall scene. The recording was produced by I & I FOUNDATION RECORDS, a label known for its deep roots in sound system culture and its focus on authentic Jamaican music. Over the years, I & I FOUNDATION RECORDS has built a reputation for supporting both established and rising dancehall artists. This dancehall project became a platform for new voices in the late 1990s. Beenie Man & Christina teamed up for the infectious "Miss Angela." Beenie Man was already well known in dancehall, with hits like "Who Am I (Sim Simma)" reaching international charts and helping to bring the genre to a wider audience. Christina joined him on this track, giving the song extra energy. Captain Barkey delivered "Whistle," bringing his unique style. Barkey was recognized in the dancehall world, especially for his work as part of the duo Wickerman & Captain Barkey, and for his humorous lyrics. Chuck Fender, who would later become known for his conscious reggae songs, appeared with "Hotti Hotti." He also joined Triston Palmer for "Hottie Hottie Girls," showing his versatility as a performer. Daddy Rings added "She's Got The Moves" to the riddim, while Little Lenny contributed "Liberty." Little Lenny was known for his earlier hit "Healthy Body," a song that made him popular in the early 1990s. The recording also featured Mad – Ites Crew with "How Do I," adding more variety to the project.
