Payday Music’s Merge Riddim sits right in the label’s early-2008 run, a tight five-voiced reggae set that keeps the focus on message tunes and straight-ahead delivery. Bugle’s “Frightening” has that warning-shot energy, while Serani’s “Crying For Peace” leans more reflective and gives the riddim a softer emotional pull. Boom Steppa’s “Protect The Children” and Badd Cash’s “I Aint Scared” add a tougher edge, so the whole thing moves between conscience and stance without losing its pulse.
