Medi Rock Riddim – One Wise Studios

One Wise Studios takes a fairly straight reggae riddim and gives it a warmer, more live-band feel here, with Sarge OneWise handling the production, recording and mix on a six-track set that landed on November 26, 2021. Anthony B’s “Herbs and Wine” leans into the easygoing side of the groove, while Marlon Asher’s “Jah Save Me” brings the spiritual edge that’s kept his voice so dependable on roots-minded cuts. Aza Lineage’s “The Vibes Is Real” adds a little more lift, and Bobby Hustle’s “Comes Right Back” keeps the energy moving without crowding the pocket. MediSun opens things with “Mek It Rock, ” and the riddim itself closes the set, which feels like a neat little statement from a California-based camp that’s been quietly putting in work across reggae and dub.
