Mas Fuego Riddim – Craig ‘Leftside Parks

A ten-track soca set with Bugle, Leftside, T. O. K. , Wayne Marshall and Sean Paul tells you right away this one was cut for movement, not mood, and Craig “Leftside” Parks keeps the energy pointed straight at the dance. Bugle turns up twice with “How U Feel” and “Standing Tall, ” while Leftside gets two solo cuts of his own and then links with Sean Paul on “Party Campaign, ” which hangs off the riddim’s bright, percussive pulse and quick-footed bounce. The rest of the lineup fills out the same sharp-edged lane with Fambo’s “O. M. G, ” Monster Twins’ “Rotate, ” Syon’s “Pretty Girl” and T. O. K. ’s title cut “Mas Fuego, ” plus a version at the end that locks the whole set together.
