Zion High Productions keeps the Zion I Kings Riddim Series in a rootsy pocket here, and Marketplace comes across with that bright, horn-led swing that gives the whole set a little lift. Pressure opens with the title cut, setting the tone in a grounded, everyday way, then Akae Beka’s “Described Peculiar” pushes the cut deeper into conscious territory with Vaughn Benjamin’s unmistakable phrasing riding the riddim cleanly. Glen Washington’s “Too Much Religion” and Lutan Fyah’s “Binghi Man A Call” keep the message strong, but it’s the title track that really anchors the EP’s mood. Released in May 2016, this one is only four songs long, but the sequencing feels tight, almost like a small snapshot of where Zion I Kings were at that moment, right down to the lively marketplace imagery tucked into the opening cut.
