Marawi Riddim – Jazz Muziq

2018 was a busy year for dancehall riddims, and Marawi Riddim sits right in that hard, stripped-down juggling lane with just five cuts and no wasted space. Jazz Muziq keeps the pattern tight, and the titles tell you the mood immediately: Crazy Mac’s “Kill Quick” and Fugitive’s “Love Mi Gun” lean into the gunman imagery that was still all over the genre, while Outta Road’s “My Time Now” brings a more self-assertive, forward-pushing tone. Denero Don and Neuclear fill out the set with “Double Blank” and “Rise Everything, ” so the whole thing moves like a short, sharp set rather than a sprawling compilation. Released in December 2018, it feels like one of those late-year dancehall drops made for quick rotation and sound-system play, lean enough to hit hard without lingering too long.
